During the pandemic we have had to rapidly adapt to a new way of working for the safety of our patients and our team. 

 

We have been advised by NHS England, to continue to assess all patients prior to any face to face appointments taking place and to ensure the appropriate care provision is made available to meet your needs. Face to face appointments continue to be available to those where it is clinically or socially necessary and a clinician will make this decision with you as part of the assessment process. 

 

This means:

  • you will get seen promptly and in the most appropriate setting
  • you are reducing your risk of catching/spreading coronavirus by avoiding a waiting room
  • you are helping to keep the team healthy and safe
  • The practice is able to maintain a clean environment and protect you from the virus

Our Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistant are running a face to face service but where appointments can be dealt with over the telephone, these will continue.

 

We are able to offer video consultations to complement our service.

 

Please DO NOT ATTEND the practice without a pre-arranged appointment unless you are collecting medication.  If you have an enquiry please telephone the practice rather than attending in person.  

 

If you are asked to attend the Practice, we are continuing to ask all the coronavirus questions before allowing patients in to the building.   Please, where possible, attend alone, this is to limit the amount of people attending the Practice.  We have now spaced out our waiting area in line with social distancing guidance to allow a maximum of 6 patients in the waiting area at any one time.  You may be asked to wait outside (or in you car) so please attend at your appointment time to mnimise any waiting.   All patients are asked to wear a face covering (covering nose and mouth) if they can.

 

All of the above aims to safeguard our service and protect our patients.

 

Whilst our appointment system may have changed, the message we want to convey is that we are very much available to service the needs of our patient population in the safest way possible and want to continue to provide the best care possible during these unprecedented times.    

 

Please DO NOT VISIT the Surgery if you have symptoms of a fever and/or cough or have had contact with someone who has.  If this applies to you please self isolate for 7 days.  If you live with someone who has these symptoms you must self-isolate for 14 days.  You only need to contact 111 if you cannot manage your symptoms or your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days.  More information on self isolation can be found on the above links.
