Roadworks Affecting Vehicle Access to / from The Surgery / Dispensary

Norfolk County Council has commenced road improvement works on Plantation Road, Blofield. This is the road on which the surgery is located.

There is no through road access from the village side (i.e., from the traffic lights, Post Office, etc.) via The Street, Doctors Road, or North Street to Plantation Road, and on to the surgery. Access to the A47 (heading east) is also unavailable from this direction.

The works are expected to last 6 weeks, operating from 07:00 to 16:30. However, through road access is still unavailable outside this time.

Diversion to the Surgery/Dispensary
To access the surgery, you must travel to the A47 Brundall, Blofield roundabout (where the McDonald’s is located), take the dual carriageway heading east towards Great Yarmouth, and then take the turning signposted “Blofield Heath” a short distance from the roundabout. Follow the turnoff, and at the junction turn right towards Blofield Heath. Follow Shack Lane, and then take the first right back towards Blofield and the Surgery. Follow Woodbastwick Road, and at the junction, turn right onto Plantation Road. The Surgery is just up on the left.

Leaving the Surgery/Dispensary
You cannot exit the car park left onto Plantation Road towards the village, Post Office, traffic lights. If you need to return to Norwich, Lingwood, Blofield, Brundall area, etc., you must turn right out of the surgery car park, and then take the next right (the A47 slip road), and re-join the A47, heading east, towards Great Yarmouth. Follow the A47 to Acle. At the Acle roundabout, travel all the way round the roundabout, and then return via the A47 heading west, towards Norwich, double-backing on yourself. Follow the A47 back to Blofield, Brundall, Lingwood. You can then turn off into Blofield, Lingwood, etc., at the normal slip road, or carry on towards the Brundall, Blofield roundabout, as needed.

When entering or leaving the Surgery car park, please be mindful of construction staff and their vehicles.
